_{As a black woman working in HE, I have often found it difficult to convince others when it comes to promotion, particularly when the other candidates are not black. UCU BU have been really supportive in terms of challenging the processes for promotion and I have now got the job I worked for. Thanks to everyone involved. I am very happy.}

Overwhelmed

_{I spoke to UCU at BU when I was facing problems with my newly appointed line manager who did not recognise ‘reasonable adjustments’. The union soon sorted that out and I am now working more efficiently because the stress has been lifted from my shoulders. Thank you UCU.}
